Iron Deficiency And Panic Attacks

Anxiety and panic attacks can be influenced by the lack of vitamins, sleep, stress and nutritional deficiencies. Whilst the bulk of panic attacks and anxiety attacks are contributed to by high pressure and stressful situations - there are also some other factors to consider.

The number one disorder that is effected by a nutritional deficiency is anemia, anemia is related to anxiety and anxiety is commonly a side effect. The dietary deficiency is B-12, there's also several cures and treatments for a B-12 deficiency and these can include tablets and injections - depending on the severity of the deficiency.

Stress and B-12 deficiency have a direct link, hence why panic attack and anxiety sufferers may experience a lack of B-12 - because of the high levels of stress. When you are stressed the intestines struggle to absorb B-12. The low volume of blood flow and pressure to the intestines is caused by stress, when you are stressed the normal blood pressure and blood flow to the intestines is reduced as the body parts tend to steal the blood pressure and flow - tightening muscles and abnormal muscle actions contributing factors.

Anxiety and panic attacks are common and natural, they have been part of the human development and help us make conscious and unconscious decisions in life. It's when they start to affect our choices and lifestyle in a negative way that they become a problem.

Panic attacks are a defensive mechanism and we don't have a say when the panic attack is called upon. Our unconscious mind is alerted to a danger or threat and clicks the panic attack into action. Generally the panic attack is to harness our energy, muscles and mind in readiness for "Flight or Fight" action. The first panic attack is called upon in a highly stressful situation or time of immediate danger - it's when the mind starts to confuse an everyday situation with this initial episode that we have issues.

If you suffer from a panic attack or a series of panic attacks do not feel that you are alone, in America this year one third of the population will have a panic attack of some strength, and of this number, less than one in four will seek treatment and or advice. Don't be a part of that statistic - get help and don't let panic attacks rule your life.
