Signs Symptoms Of Panic Attacks


Whilst there are many signs of a panic attack, there are too many to list and they will vary from each person who's affected. The important thing for panic attack sufferers to remember is that you're not alone and that one in three fellow Americans will also have a panic attack during the year.

Panic attacks are a natural function and survival tool, this survival tool was used in times of fear and primitive times - when you would either Fight or Flight, fight meaning you would fight your way out of the trouble or situation and flight would mean you run or hide from the danger.

The common symptoms can include :

An increased heart rate and palpitations, this may be from internal stress and panic.

Sweaty and Clammy, your hands, feet and face may become clammy and sweaty.

Sore irritated throat and it may be harder to swallow.

An intense feeling of fear and or dread, may be over whelming.

Dizziness and light headed, unsteady on feet.

A feeling of watching yourself or being out of your skin/body.

Visibly shaking or shaking internally, either feeling or visibly.

Dream like state, feels like you're in a nightmare more than a dream though.

Feelings of going crazy or loosing control of your mind.

Raising and dropping of temperature or hot and cold flushes.

Loss of coloration to the skin and skin tones.

Blushing, redness and hot flushes and in particular within the face.

Needing to urinate urgently or persistently.

The normal or below average panic attack may have less than four of these symptoms and this is called a mild or minor panic attack.

If you are experiencing more symptoms and different symptoms as well - it does not mean that you are carrying another illness.

The common treatment is to read about the illness and symptoms, knowledge is a key in gaining an edge and having more control.
